The Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux Appellation

The Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation can be proud of its history : the vines have dominated the slopes and overlooked the Garonne river for over two thousand years, starting with the conquest of Gaul (as France used to be known) by Julius Caesar.

On the outskirts of Bordeaux

From the outskirts of Bordeaux in the north down to Saint Maixant in the south, our vineyards follow the meanders of the Garonne river, covering a band of the finest soils around 60 kilometres long and up to 5 kilometres wide.

From Bassens, just outside Bordeaux, to Saint Maixant the appellation occupies soil that is optimal for the production of quality wines. With due respect for tradition, and through strict rules governing the production of wine, these elements guarantee the authenticity of our rare wines.

Elegant and full-bodied

These wines are both elegant and full-bodied. They develop magnificent aromas of red fruit berries and spices. They are agreeable to drink when they are young but they also have a great aptitude to age well.

The younger wines are the perfect accompaniment for white meats whereas the more well-structured and mature wines go very well with red meat, cheeses, or certain traditional dishes of Bordeaux gastronomy.

Do not hesitate to call in at the Wine and Vine Museum if you are passing through our region.
